I need to do a poster and the 72 print is too small.

The crop feature doesn't work on a screenshot. Is there some extra step I
should take if I want to cut away a portion of a screenshot pasted into Word?

I have a few photos in text boxes on one page in a Word document. When I try
to move down to a second page - to add more - I don't seem to be able to. How
do I get around that, please?

I'm trying to  change the perimeter of a photo from rectangle to elliptical
to place in a clip art picture frame.  I can't get the paint to copy and
paste the elliptical to another setting.  When I use the "free form select"
it cuts a ragged edge.

I want to create the dashboard view with the multiple graphs on one page.

I use to be able to do this without thinking, highlight an email that
has text and photos in it, copy it, then paste it into a word
document. Some setting has changed in my computer because I can no
loger copy the photos just the text an there is an empy box where the

If I make a form and after an entry there is a line above which someone would
print (ie. NAME ______) what is the best tool to use so that the line is even
with the bottom of the preceeding text. I've tried to use the Draw Line Tool
and have not been able to nudge it in ...

When I activate the drawing tool bar Word becomes unresponsive and needs to
be forced to quit. I have reinstalled but the same problem still exists. It
is running on a G5 mac and running with out problems until it was up dated
11.3.3.

When I insert a picture and check the box "washout" the gray in the picture
does not show. If I do not check the box washout the picture is too bright.
How can I "gradually" washout my picture so it does show the gray?

Is there anyway to add new fill effects to be used by Word?

I am TRYING to finish my thesis, but I need a border to change sides of the
paper -- i.e., odd pages border on right, even pages border on left.  That
way when the pages are back to back the border is on the outside of the book

I am trying to establish a robust way to create figures in Word 2000,
including both external files and internally drawn line-art figures.
I am adopting practices from a Word 2003 corporate template.  In the
latter, a figure and it's caption are placed in a 2-row 1-column table

I'm copied a collection of line-art objects from Powerpoint into a
Microsoft Picture Object in Word 2000.  I had to resize some of the
