Does anyone know how to insert a number line?

I have a client that e-mails me Word 2003 docs with imbeded images. I need
to copy those images and paste them into a graphics editor. When I try to
paste I get "Cannot retrieve information from clipboard" or something like
that. I have tried saving the document as .docx and in ...

I am using word 2003.  i am inserting an arrow and want to put text inside
the arrow, but when i click on text box and the arrow i get a new text box,
any help with this would be appreciated.

I have WordXP.  I have a form which has a picture in a text frame and I want
to replace it on a regular basis, but when I highlight the picture and copy
the new picture over the old it deletes the text frame and puts the picture
in the wrong position and pushes a second picture ...
