I'm using Word 2002. Before some of my cross-references there are paragraph symbols that cause page breaks. My document uses both left and right justification; prior to some of the cross references that have paragraph symbols

I am trying to put together a presentation that reuires different formatting for many pages. I have discovered how to change selected text from landscape to portrait but can not figure out how to turn colums on & off.

When you open an existing document there are spaces between the words that prevent you form editing the document. When you print they are not there? To fix the problem you have to reload the program. A doc will look like the example below:
