Hi...
I'm using Word 2000 on Windows 2000.
Is there a way to configure a template such that when a user creates a
new table, the heading rows automatically repeat across pages? I can't

I frequently use Paste Special (as unformatted text) to copy text between
documents. Today I noticed that non-breaking hyphens disappear if they have
been created in the source file by using CTRL+Shift+Hyphen or by using
Insert>Symbol>Non-breaking hyphen. They do come over intact if ...

I'm trying to manually hyphenate a long document, but nothing happens.
Also, when I instruct Word to show optional hyphens, none show up. I
would have thought that there is some default hyphenation
dictionary/database that comes with Word. Is this not so, and does

   I'm using Word 2000 and trying to perform search and replace to
'Increment the font size to 12 of any text that is between $. For example
$Here$ should be converted to 'Here' with 12 font size without the $
characters.

I get the impression that this should be really simple but it feels
like I've been banging my head against a brick wall for ages.

I've a problem with my tables. I have a Word document with
a lot of tables, so far so good. But one day I made a copy
and paste from Excel into the document. This resulted in
the frames on all the existing tables disappeared?!? The

I'm not a beginner with styles, formatting, etc., but this
one has me stumped. I created a style named T. Here's its
description:
Font: Times New Roman, 10pt, English (U.S.), Flush left,

In Word 2002, when I create a composite document using
Tools>Compare and Merge Documents, only the insertions
print out. I cannot get the the deletions to print, either
as balloons or strike-through text. I can see them in the

Save.  Tools, Options, Security "Remove Personal
Information from Properties on Save".
