Is there a way to lock the numbering of a document once it's been
established so that if extra paragraphs are entered between the numbered
paragraphs, the numbering is maintained? This is a large document, so
entering continuous breaks everywhere would get messy.

I was unnerved to find out recently that the tab button
will no longer, while in a list (bullets or numbers),
indent to a sub heading ie A to a or 1 to i etc...Does
anyone know how I might have turned this off, and can turn

I'm writing my thesis and I need to include a table of
contents, list of figures, and list of tables.  I figured
out how to insert a table of contents and format it but
when I try to insert a "table of figures", Word replaces

Have a document that does not show footers regardless of
the view used (the headers DID show up).  I worked around
the problem by copying and pasting to a new document and

know these type of fields usual;ly only update when print

Is it possible to simply rotate a textbox any number of
degrees?  I am a math teacher and use word (with MathType
equation editor) for all of my tests, quizzes, etc.  Boy
would it be handy to be able to rotate the textboxes when
