How do I take a word document and burn on to a cd?

When I place a footnote at the beginning of a document and
that is the only footnote on the page, the footnote text
will continue to go up the page until under the footnote
reference number.  Is there a way to set how the footnote

Is there a special font that makes the characters look
like continuous dots?  You know like some exercise books
for children that they can trace over?

I'm using Word 2000 and Windows 2000.  One of the things I
haven't been able to figure out how to turn off is Word's
insistance on applying outline paragraph labels, i.e., I.,
II., III., or 1., 2., 3., etc. to each new paragraph once
