when I print my long document (> 100pages) in word 98 for mac, at some point, I get only pagenumbering in the form 7,8,9,10,11,12,11,12,11,12,11,12 ... the point where the strange behaviuor starts is always different, it happens when printing to printer or to pdf ?!

I want to insert chapters as well as appendices as subdocuments to my master document (thesis), and then I want to cross reference to the appendices. (the appendices have a slightly different template in that the 'styleref' field in the page header refers to the style 'Appendix'

I need to have one of the pages in landscape. After trying to change the page setup of the marked text to landscape I inserted one empty page and tried to do it with that one, but still I get the whole document, starting from this page, turned into lansdscape. Why???
