When formatting a long document, every time I make a
change Word repaginates the whole document, which makes
it very time consuming.  I've gone into tools and
eliminated background pagination, so what is causing this?

We created a master document of a zoning ordinance, with
all of the chapters as subdocuments.  This allows us to
generate a table of contents and automatically repaginate

Hi.  I have a big doc with multiple chapters, and each
chapter is a separate word doc.  I've rigged the labels so
they appear in the correct order in the file folder (TOC

is in lower case then it is formatted with small caps in the TOC...this is
what I want. However, if the source text is in upper case it retains this

I use ctrl + arrows very often to move with agility within large word
documents (Word 2002).
I would like to move even faster, by going from specific letter to
