One of the most frustrating aspects of Word (and
PowerPoint) is the inability to display all fractions.
Only the very basic, such as 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, are

This is my first foray into Word newsgroup and I need some help.
I was creating a brochure in Word 2000 whereby I've created three vertical
frames so to mimic a folded 8.5x11" piece of landscaped paper.  I want to

I would like to know why every time I open a document in
Word, I get a toolbar that looks like Microsoft Outlook.  
I must have inadvertently checked something. Does anyone
know how to get rid of this!!!!

I am working on a long document (54 pages at the present
time) and am having trouble with Word inserting automatic
pagebreaks well short of the end of the page. I end up in
some cases with 1/2 or sometimes less of text on a page.

I need to change the default font on normal style in the normal.dot template
to Arial. The little box to the left

I have a document that is over 400 pages long, 9 subdocs in a master doc. It
is heavily indexed and has many reference fields and bookmarks. Problem --
how can I quickly tell whether a particular word has already been indexed? I

One Or More Margins Are Set Outside Printable Area Message06 Dec 2003 16:03 GMT1
I keep getting a "One or more margins are set outside of
the printable area of the page choose the fix button to
increase the appropriate margins" warning message when I
try to close the page setup screen in Word Office XP.
