I have a strange formatting issue. Inserting a footnote into a section seems to bump the next section down to the next page, even if it's preceeded by a continuous section break.

Windows 2k, Word 2k SP1. I started working on the third of 3 documents based on SRC Template.dot. Heading 3 had an extra tab in the wrong place, so I saved the change to the template. Now most of the heading styles are trashed -

When I open a previously created document in Word by using "File "Open", the file opens as a text document with all formatting gon (tables, bullets, fonts, etc.) When I re-open the document using th "Recently Used" drop down, the file is fine.
