Suddenly, I can no longer get the 'Select All' command on
the styles and formatting pane. I found it extremely
useful in tracking down offending styles inserted into my
documents by other contributors.

I have always successfully used the Styleref code in my
headers.  Now I am trying to use it in my footer to
reference a style on the cover sheet whose content changes
periodically (it is the only place in the document where

Hi, everyone...
We're using Word 2000 on Windows 2000.
Is it possible to protect a document so that users can add or remove
text but not alter Styles?  Specifically, I want to prevent users from
indentation and bulleting to whole paragraph in office xp16 Apr 2004 00:03 GMT3
Does anyone know how to revert settings to office 2000
with regards to indentation and bulleting.  I've recently
installed office xp and it seems to apply the formatting
to the whole paragraph, not just the line that the

When Justifying the entire document in Word 2003, using
the default font, there are spaces within a word rather
than between words.

How can I track/check which 'normal' template word is
opening with when multiple normal templates are available?
Then, how can I specify which of these I wish to have

My Word doc comes up with the View>Markup feature turned on.  It's caused major waste in paper because people opening the doc don't realize that the Markup is on

I've inherited a large (10MB, 900 page) document that was created by
someone with no knowledge of how to correctly use Styles.
We're using Word 2002. The document is a legal document (building
codes) with most paragraphs requiring numbering. I believe it used to

This must be a simple problem... but I'm not finding the
answer.  When I go to Insert a bookmark - sometimes ADD
is available and sometimes it is not????  I can't figure

I am creating a TOC using heading styles. I only want part
of the paragraph to be included in the TOC, but it

I would like to number endnotes in proper book format, e.g., the
numbering begins at 1 for each chapter, but all of the notes are
