One potential way to freeze Word styles would be to include autoFormatOverride ="false" in the XML version of a Word document. I have not been able to prevent this attribute from being overridden. Has anyone done this

I have a document that was originally 2mb in size. When I make a few minor changes to the document and update the index the size of the document increased to 7mb. When I updated again it increased to 9mb.
