I'm using Word 2002 and I'm creating a table of contents from heading styles
and using a dot leader that goes over to the page numbers.  My problem is
that I don't want the dot leaders to go right up to the page numbers.
Instead, I want them to stop about a half inch from the page ...

How do you leave a small gap at each end of the leader?

TOC stuck16 Jan 2005 00:50 GMT1
I am using Word 2002 on Windows XP and am using the RD field to generate a
table of contents from 12 separate documents.  After setting the RD fields
and inserting the table of contents field, the table of contents starts to
generate but then stops.  At the bottom of the page, it ...
1200 doc word count doug robbins15 Jan 2005 21:32 GMT2
Thank you! Thank you! Worked like a charm once the user got his head around
it. Only took 25 minutes. THe total number was a bit of a stunner though,
over 900,000. I did a double check of all the As and came up with 33,000
manual and 43,000 using the macro. Any ideas why this ...

Am preparing an encyclopedia that will have about 1200 + entries. Each entry
is a separate document. I need a total word count for all docs. I can use an
'open' window showing the statistics and enter word count into a spreadsheet
but it seems as if there should be an easier way. ...

Chapter numbering without sections14 Jan 2005 17:42 GMT4
I am using Word 2002 in Windows XP.  I divided a long document into separate
chapters.  In each chapter, I used page numbering to insert  a number on the
right-hand bottom corner.  Then, I manually inserted the chapter number in
front of the page number field.  Of course, the ...

Printing Selected Pages from a Document Containing Multiple Page Numbering Schemes14 Jan 2005 03:07 GMT7
We have a couple of large documents formatted with roman numeral numbering
(starting at 'i' for the title page), then the body of the document starting
at page 1 (MS Word 2003).  When trying to print ranges, we never seem to get
consistent results.  For example, when selecting pages ...

Thank you all for your suggestions.  Indeed purchasing
