Printing "middle" pages from a bookfold30 Jun 2005 19:05 GMT5
I have a document formatted as a bookfold on legal paper, landscaped.
Once printed, I can chop the sheets in half, and have a manual that is
8.5" tall by 7" wide.  Somewhere in the middle of printing my fourth one,
the printer stopped.

If someone sends you a document with track changes turned on in it, how do
you turn it off?  I tried accept all changes but then it adds more tracking
when I change something.
It was easy in Office 2000 and before - turn it off!.  Now the menus have

I have created a template (.dot) with the page layout: 210,00 mm width
and 120,00 height (Portrait).
Is there any easy way to change the Page length for a given page in a
document or do I have to use Section breaks?

When I import text from other documents, the text is broken into irregular
strings.  Is there an easy way to connect them, without having to go through
line by line?
BOLD has gone wild!25 Jun 2005 23:06 GMT2
I'm using Word 2000.  Suddenly, whenever I press Control+B to apply
direct formatting, I get a heading style -- sometimes heading 2, 4, or
6.  The bolded text then shows up in the document map.  I do not want
to apply a style.
Wrong page size with odd section breaks25 Jun 2005 17:00 GMT1
I have a long document created with most pages 8.5 by 11 inches in size.
I've inserted a few large tables (11" x 17") using odd-page section breaks.
Wherever the previous section ends on an odd page due to text length, Word
creates an extra blank page (did I mention I've got this ...
[vba] search and format finds25 Jun 2005 06:53 GMT1
I'm trying to create a procedure that searches for certain words and
then formats those words.  Two problems:
1. If I have a word(s) highlighted when I start the macro, it formats
the selection...even though it hasn't found anything yet.

Indexing23 Jun 2005 15:25 GMT2
I have seen the FAQ on Indexing by Word on the MVP site saying that
Word cannot automatically generate and index. But, as stated in the web
page, this was for Word 2002.
Since word has been updated since that time, has indexing support improved?
hyperlinks broken after converting to PDF from Word 200322 Jun 2005 18:58 GMT2
I have tried several Word 2 PDF converters, including Adobe's 'Print PDF'
print driver and I can't get the hyperlinks for, say the Table of Contents,
