Formatting of text problem - Help needed with Style Sheets & Search and Replace08 Aug 2005 22:33 GMT1
Hiya
I'm just totally stumped at this one. I have a text document from an online
form (see below), and I'm trying to format each section individually to a
seperate style using the search and replace command.
best way to regularize existing documents?08 Aug 2005 05:41 GMT2
I have about 20 Word97 docs of 1-12 pages each. They all have the same
look & feel, but this has been achieved by manual formatting. I want to
get all 20 documents to share a common set of formatting directives of
some kind.
Advice about Master documents07 Aug 2005 07:21 GMT31
Hi (using Word 2002 in XP).
I am writing a book that has many chapters. It is a complex book, so I'm
writing a little in one chapter and a little in another at various times,
adding ideas as they come along. At present each chapter is in a separate

I have a single document, containing a table with two columns and
several rows. On the left column is an english novel, and on the right
column its translation in another language. Each paragraph is in a
different row, so that the original text and its translation are
internal code for index or table of contents04 Aug 2005 11:30 GMT8
Here is my problem: I have an Access table with 2 columns: a keyword
and a memo. From this table I want to create a Word document - this is
no brainer, I know how to do it. Now the difficult part - I want to
create an index table from the keyword columns (or table of containts).
Alligning page numbers in a header03 Aug 2005 23:26 GMT5
I'm trying to create a header with text that is centered, but I want
the page number to the extreme left. Using spaces seems kind of crude,
because when the page number gets to 10 and 100, it's no longer
consistent. I tried using a text box (beause it "floats") but it puts
Bizarre style switching03 Aug 2005 22:00 GMT2
When I combined 5 docs, all made from the same normal template, in the same
style, using only Header 1, Header 3, Normal and Caption, some of my tables
switch into Caption font which is messing all the layout up. Most bizarrely,
when I select the table or even the raw table ...
Inserting Page Breaks into a non-word created document03 Aug 2005 00:20 GMT1
Thanks Doug for responding. Will Word recognize a page break fro
another report ? I was under the impression it had to be created i
Word. Hmm...maybe I'm approaching this from the wrong angle.

How do I turn off the Markup information, and make it stay off?02 Aug 2005 22:15 GMT1
A coworker has created a document that she has been tracking changes with as
she's sent it back and forth. Now that she wants to send it out to the staff
she can't get the document to not show the balloons that show the revisions
off to the side.
MS Word RTF Textboxes Blank on Printout02 Aug 2005 19:17 GMT4
This is my first post to Google groups, so please excuse me if I stray
from the general etiquette. I've created a RTF document that contains
several textboxes. Some of these textboxes are blank and others contain
a single character in them (just like the appearance of a HTML
Inserting Page Breaks into a non-word created document02 Aug 2005 14:32 GMT2
Are there any scripts, or a way for me to insert page breaks into a
non-word created document based on a pattern or page lines ?
What I am trying to do is print out a report from a database, and to
tell Word when to start a new page after each record. The report is
Mixing Different headers when combining docs, and skipping02 Aug 2005 00:28 GMT2
I probably should have sorted this out first, but I have about 5 twenty page
documents that I need to link together. I am OK to do that and can F9 to
update all my cross refs etc, and have styles set up OK for TOC to work
properly
