I am working with a two-column, newspaper-style document in Word 2003, and I would like to force the column heights to be equal. I've tried toggling the "Windows/Orphan control" option, which helps a little bit, but the column heights are never really equal. I'd appreciate ...

I've been doing a lot of reformatting recently. I've found in a few documents that when I try to apply a style, e.g heading 1, the style being applied is e.g heading1,level1,caps,bold. It's as though that 'formatting' has attached itself to my style. The only way I've found

Me again! I seem to recall when back when PCs were slow, a command (under tools?) called repaginate now. The command forced Word to recalcuate page breaks/numbering, well, now. I'm waiting upwards of 30 seconds to see the changes I'm making to column

| Word 2003 - shift/return problem | 07 Nov 2005 13:28 GMT | 4 |
Hi - I'm trying to format a long document for a directory. It was given to me with 'shift/return's at the end of each line/paragraph instead of just 'return's. As a result each time I try to, for instance, justify a section, it effects the entire text and it's driving me insane. If
