Different hearders within the same document16 Mar 2006 18:28 GMT2
I was advised that if I want to have a different header from a given

the headers are still the same throughout the document

I have been involved in several discussions regarding this recently and

I've started using AutoCorrect to insert some text -- I want the text
to be formatted.  It consists of a pleading caption.  It should be
single-spaced.
It goes in with double-spacing.
Lines look skinney, but print big and fat.13 Mar 2006 21:55 GMT3
I created a lot of lines across the page in my documents by inputing 3
or mor underscores, then hitting the enter key.  These lines are acutally
the bottom side of an outside border.  They look perfect on the screen, and
also when I do a print preview.  When I actually print ...

Forms? Checkboxes?  Gray Shading?10 Mar 2006 01:35 GMT3
What have I got here?  Some kind of a form -- it's got
checkboxes.  If you click on one, you get a dialog box.  They have

I want to keep the checkboxes, and I'd like a user to pick one
Master document and section numbering issues and what about Chapter label?09 Mar 2006 05:59 GMT4
I have a long document spread across 8 separate files.  I know how to create
a master document, but when I put all the files into the master, the section
headings all have the same numbering.  That is, instead of 1.1 I get 5.1.
For file 2, I get 5.1 instead of 2.1. Etc.  I think ...

My company has undergone a few mergers and I am now tasked with
standardizing our style sheets across offices. I'd like some advice on this.
The templates I have been using till now use "Normal" as body text rather
than a specific style called "Body Text" or similar. (One of our ...
Track changes showing formatting06 Mar 2006 08:32 GMT6
I have a user who swears she unticks the formatting in the show track changes

Very often it actually still prints the formatting changes.
Is this possible or has anyone else even come across this.
Styles and endnote problem04 Mar 2006 02:56 GMT1
I have the folowing problem with my 360 page word xp document. It will not
let me use the endnote feature. Word gives the message that the number needs

checked the help file but it really didn't help. The entries on the list are

I am using Word 2002 with styles.  When I right-click and go to Paragraph,

should stay at BodyText.  However, when I go to modify the style, the
"Outline Level" is properly set to BodyText.  I can press ...
