I have a table of Contents in which I need the topic in bold but the tab leader an page number should be normal. So far I can only go either all bold or all normal. Is there a switch I can use in the style?

When I type into my form into a text field inserted into a cell, and my line exceeds the width of my cell, it continues to a new line but at the same time it adds a line to the cell height. There is room in the cell for more lines. How can I stop it from adding new lines to the ...

I'm making a new newsletter for the first time and want to have a vertical "text box" or frame on the left side. This text would be the staff, etc. that doesn't change from issue to issue. I make a text box ok but I can't enter text in it and the help is no help in

I've been sent a 200 page manual created with Word 97. Tons of graphics of application buttons, hyperlinks and such. When it's opened in Word 2003 on XP, a large amount of cleanup is needed. Is there anything that can be done in Word 97 to open cleaner in Word

I'm using Word XP. Sometimes, but not always, when I insert a continuous break, it acts like a nex-page break. I want Continuous to be continuous. Suggestions?

I've got Word 2000. I've downloaded a bunch of cases. Everything is "normal" style. The hanging indents are set to hang by just 1/8 inch on the left. I want to change that to 1/2 inch. I hate to go through hundreds of pages, changing eaching hanging

I'm using Word XP. I want to find certain items that are NOT centered. In the FIND box, I can click "Control + Center" and it shows "centered". But when I click "Control + Center" again, it just goes blank. It should show "Not Centered."

Anyone have any tips on dealing with footnotes from older programs where the footnotes are not encoded as footnotes, and easily converting them to proper footnotes in Word? Example would be a 50 page document with superscript numbers throughout

MSWord 2003: Is there a way to get page numbering to do go into sub-pages? We often use "Change Pages" and the numbering is a little longer. We also use chapter nos. preceding the page number. So we have something like this

I have a spreadsheet that I have to email to others. The spreadsheet contains columns that I need/have to hide. Any one knows how I can password protect and hide a column so that the secretary who presents the final work does not have access to sensitive info?
