Inserting footnote created duplicate of footer28 Apr 2008 10:27 GMT1
I am working with a relatively simple document but when I attempt to
insert a footnote in the document, it duplicates the footer and places
it beneath the paragraph containing the footnote superscript.  For

Styles "cross" or "bridge" para returns23 Apr 2008 18:15 GMT2
I'm always working on Word files created by other people.
Some counterintuitive behavior I see is that the Normal style can be applied
to all (or many of) the paragraphs of a document, and the Style panel says
"Select All 1 Instance" of Normal. When I select that "one instance," ...

I'm running Word 2007.  I am creating a long document using the "Heading 1"

When I press enter, the text goes down half the page!05 Apr 2008 18:36 GMT2
This is really annoying me. I'm formating my thesis and when I try to
put a block of text on the next page by pressing enter  when it gets to
the bottom of the page it goes about halfway down the next page and I
have to mess around with the position of the curser to get it properly

This is going to sound like a really dumb question, but I have to ask. I
have a user who was working on a previously saved document. The document was
created using the standard "Normal" style. However, when she reopened the
document, placed her insertion point at the end of the ...
