We recently upgraded from Word for Win95 to MS Office XP
Pro.  We have several forms(letters, envelopes,
certificates of service, etc.) in Word that merge with
tables in our Access database...these all converted fine

What I want to do is create a template that upon opening
prompts the user for info.  the FILLIN field works
nicely.  However there are times when I want to prompt
for info that is repeated throughout the document.  

I still need help with mail merge and userforms:
How can I tell word to merge a template and then have a
user form pop up to fill in missing information:
1. I am merging data from a database into a fax or

Can I make a mail merge fax template that also contains a
macro to bring up the userform, so I can fill in the rest
of the infomration like job number etc? I tried it with
the simple userform tutorial on the mvp's web site, but

after entering a recipient list the next step is preview
labels. notthing comes up on the screen and when I press
print only blank papers print out. my list doesn't print

Okay guys, ya'll (yes I'm from Texas) have already been
SO helpful. How about a macro that turns form field entry
to text, automatically?  I know you can CTRL+SHIFT+F9 to
change it. Can I put that in a macro that runs

Rather than make copies of mass mailings, I used to print
the data source and the document showing the fields for
my file.  I can't figure out how to print the data source
in Word 2000. Is it possible to do so?

My other merges for envelopes have worked fine, but now
the program is inserting a random comma at the beginning
of each city line. These commas are not in the mailmerge
list of addresses, and I don't see how to edit them out.

I've put fillin fields in the footer of a template and
used form text fields in the main document.  After I save
it as a template, it repeats the prompting boxs whenever
I choose to print.
