Is it possible to attach a Word file to an email that is
to be mailed through the mail merge function? I have found
out how to insert the file into the body of the email, but
I don't want to do that, I want to send the file as an

I have a VBA procedure in Access which opens up Word and creates a
mail merge based on a dynamicly created SQL statement. It works in
Word 2000 but not in XP. In XP I get a 'data source could not be
opened' error. It connects via OLEDB. I am also sure it is not a

Does anybody know what's happened to the other newsgroups
under "Word"?  When I click them, they all
say "unavailable" (except this one), and I have a font

Hi I am tring to populate some word cells using the prps
in my access code.  To do this I need to name the
docpropery with the same name as the cells in Access.  The
code for the doc property is:

Under my Tools drop down, there are about 25 mail merges
listed there.  I have no idea why but can't figure out how
to delete them.  I have to scroll down through them to get
to envelopes/labels.

fine except that it creates one field on each label rather

I'm having trouble merging formatted data from excel into
a word field.  The data being pulled is numeric and
should include a comma however, after the merge the
result is a four digit number with no comma separation.

The mac version of word contains a field code called
Placeholder, but as far as I can see this does not exist
in the windows version (checked 97 through to XP).  Does
anyone know the windows equivalent?

Is there a way to pull the Email Subject from an external
datasource?
I have an Excel spreadsheet with Subject, To, etc...
columns.  I would like to use the data in the Subject
