I am converting normal mailmerge .doc files to document template .dot files. I have been opening them and then saving them as a document template. The only difference I can see is the .dot extension. Would it be the same thing just to change the file extension with a rename *.doc ...

I merged a document using an excel spreadsheet as my data file. I want to print only a range for example 1-5 of 100 merged documents. Word prints all 100 files. If I ask to print pages 10-15 of the document it won't print anything.

I am pulling data via ms query over an AS/400 file. this worked fine yesterday with a small file but is not working now that i am pulling fields from a larger file.. is there some sort of a limit to the file size of the data source?

When I open the data source (Excel spreadsheet) to do a mail-merge, all the formatting is changed - decimal places range from 0 to 5, dollar signs are dropped and date format is changed.
