Where do you specify the location of the header record in Word 2002 when doing a mail merge? It seems to ASSUME that it is the first record in your data file - and does not appear to allow you to specify a separate file as the header record.

Whenever I use More items to enter individual merge fields (instead of using the Address block, for example) and then hit the spacebar, instead of getting a space, the merge field repeats itself. The only way I can figure out to get spaces between fields is to select More items, ...

Letter mail merge word97 is fine but wordxp is the pits. 1) The number data in xp is unformateded e.g. 20 number beyond the decimal pointe when the data source (access or excel) is formated for 2 decimal points. Works fine in 97 but cannot run 97 and xp on same

I get the following property: thisdocument.MailMerge.DataSource.Type = wdMergeInfoFromODSO. I can't find any documentation on the value of wdMergeInfoFromODSO on MSDN. Can someone provide a definition of this value? What is ODSO?
