Mail Merge: Lost formatting from Excel to Word06 Dec 2003 11:09 GMT3
We recently just upgraded all of our computers in our office from Windows 98 to Windows XP.  Prior to upgrading, I created a mail merge document.  The data source was Excel and then merged into Word.  
When creating the document in excel, I entered the numbers simply as "5300101" ...

When I finalize my mail merge, I receive a message that says there are
locked fields in the merge than cannot be updated.  How do I find which
fields/ words are locked and unlock them all?  I created the merge from a
basic letter and I am unaware of any locked fields.

shown as 0.6 - which I'd like formatted to £0.60.  Have

I am trying to do a mail merge letter with first name,
middle name and last name on a document.  When there is
no middle name or initial, a space is left in the name.  
Does anyone know how to get rid of the extra space
