In Word 2000 I have a mail merge document and a merge.txt datasource as the merge file with multiple records and fields delimted by commas like:  "Field1", "Field2","Fields".  Example:

I am using Word XP mailmerge wizard to create mailing labels from an Excel XP database. The first page of labels looks great. When I merge to a new document,  everything goes blank and the task list shows word as not responding. Anyone have a fix?
