In WordPerfect it was easy to create templates with an embedded macro that when set to, would start up and we could customize fields to enter into the template which would make it easy for the user to fill in info only once

I have a problem when using Excel as the data source for a Word Mail Merge. The date (in UK Format dd/mmmm/yuyy) such as 01 Apr 2004 in Excel becomes 04 Jan 2004 in the merged Word document. Any ideas? I have tried switches

When performing a mailmerge a datasource file is opened. Is there a way to close that file in VB? Or does it stay open while the template, where the mergefields are placed, is activated? Any help is appreciated

I have created a set of labels in Word XP, from an Excel XP data file. Each label has four lines and each line has four fields, so there are 16 different fields each label. On each line each field is separated by a tab for spacing purposes.
