Word 2003 merging in Works 7.0 databases27 Jan 2005 15:35 GMT1
I have a client who likes to merge a works database into word.  I am told
that the process was once easy, but now whenever we select the works database
to merge, the text encoding window appears with a lot of non - text
characters.
Error Message: "C:\~~\~~~_virtual_file_~~~.olk Is Being Used ..."27 Jan 2005 15:32 GMT1
Does the following error still exist with word xp or later?
Is there a better workaround than that described in KB241269.
Does a real solution exist?

but doing so i have to specify the full path to the file. When both files
migrate to some other folders, the path obviously changes. Can i use a
'relative' form of the path (smth like ActiveDocument.Path ...

I am trying to create labels from an excel spreadsheet containing names and
addresses.  I use the mail merge wizard in word. I should end up with 3 and a
half sheets of labels (30 labels to a sheet).  Instead, I'm ending up with
125 as it is putting one record on each page!

I keep going around in circles on this one and would appreciate any help. I
am merging from an access data base. I have several fields that need to be
formatted as currency. I have no problem getting a '$' as I can do that as
standard text...the problem is comma's.
