I have an Excel data file that I use as a master list for merges. Recently, I added a last name with an apostrophe (e.g., O'Donnell). Word comes back during a merge with the message, "Word could not parse your query options into a valid SQL string."

If I calculate a date in excel I can format it as dddd d mmmm yyyy (for example) (I want to calculate the date, at three weeks before a date entered for example).

Renamed a field in the datasource, when in the existing main document & clicking on "insert a field" icon, the old name of the field appears. There are macros involved in the document but I don't believe it has anything to do with merge. Any ideas?
