it's blank.
However, from the answers given I can't quite work out how to insert the If

I'm trying to directly connect an MS Word MailMerge object to an SQL server
table
(Word XP German)

I want the system to pull a merge file for a specific merge record, based on
criteria.  There is a possibility of three files to be inserted.  At the end
of the process, I should get one document.  My first simplified attempt read

I'm using Word 2000 and selected an Avery business card size from the
Mail Merge Set up list.  I have not changed the margins but my printer
errors every time I attempt to print.  Is there a "trick" to this?

I am merging data from Excel 2002 and the field that is merged into Word 2002
is truncated.  Does the mail merge field have a field size of 250 characters?

When I mailmerge formatted (i.e. italic/underlined/bold) text from an Excel
document to a Word document the formatting disappears. I would like to know
if it is possible to keep the formatting in the mailmerge process?

I'm attempting to create a mail merge document in microsoft word in which I
