I am merging data from Excel 2002 and the field that is merged into Word 2002 is truncated. Does the mail merge field have a field size of 250 characters? If so, is there any way to to override this limitation?

edited the merge list. filled in the address fields. But when it comes time to preview or print, i'm looking at a new document filled with blank space. The merge won't seem to complete.
