When performing a mail merge from excel to Word (office XP) the currency
fields are merged incorrectly.  No dollar sign appears.  Is there an update
for this or do I have to use a numeric picture switch which is quite

I would like to control mailmerge by code. Addresses are in an xl file.
I recorded the whole process with the macro recorder.

it prompts for "Entire spreadsheet". Can we suppress this promt. I have only

I am doing a mail merge for labels.  At the moment I do a text file
with a wlist of numbers in one or two columns.  I then use these in
some fields on labels.

The new mail meger is absolutely mind-boggling.  Printing labels is ten times
more complicated and takes more time and the letter mail merge is needlessly
complicated.  The mail merge tool bar should come on automatically.

I read a similar post on this after doing a search, but admit the answer
wasn't clear. The problem: when I do a mail merge into Word from an Excel
file, the ZIP field imports with a decimal place and zero afterward (ie:

Hi, is there anyway to keep the saluation line of my letter at a specific

Word 2003 is capable of putting barcodes on envelopes for ZIP and ZIP+4
addresses.  In order for the US Postal Service to accept the preprinted
barcodes, the software must be CASS Certified for accuracy.
