Our application uses Word to do Mail Merges. The datasource is a tab delimited text file that is generated from data in the database. We do nothing to specify what the merge field delimiter is. Word normally recognizes that it is a tab and it all works fine.

Dearl All, I have a Japanese word doc which opens up just fine. When I choose a Unicode CVS file as the datasource I am not prompted for the Confirm Conversion screen so that I can choose unicode and thus the Japanese Unicode merge text

This is a minor but annoying problem. I was wondering if anyone else has seen it. I have created a vb.net program to perform MSWord mailmerges. The final merged product then appears in the program via an axWebBrowser. It took a while but the program itself now works

I have MS Word 2000, and have been told there's no way to do this, but that it might be possible with Word 2002. I'll purchase the newer version, if someone can confirm for me how this is done. Many thanks for your help.

In our application the users should be able to choose/change the label templates. In Word 2003, there is a function called 'labeloptions' that shows 'label options' dialog so that users can select their template. But this function is not available in Word 2000.
