Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of characters a merge field name can be? Also if that has changed from older versions of Word to newer versions of Word? For example I've had some users who were using something like this:

I'm using Word to format international addresses with AddressBlock. The resulting addresses include blank lines for some countries. Is this a feature of the address format Microsoft use for these countries? Are the rules Microsoft are using published anywhere?

I am using Office 2003 and trying to merge some documents with word. But I want the case of the addresses to be in Title case. I tried changing the format of the fields but it disappears for the next one. Can anyone suggest me some solution for this? Thank you in antisipation.

Having trouble formatting merged data field. I edited the field code, chose the picture switch that should give me $##,###.##, but after I merge, the numbers are not what should be in that field, i.e. what should be $300.00 is $1,054.00??????

I am merging an excel document with word using mail merge. One field is a decimal number (7 places). When I merge this it shows up as a scientific number. What can I do to fix this?

I have read the other post regarding supressing blank lines. I have added the Mailmerge button from the Commands but whenever I click on the button, it just brings up the Task Pane and not the older interface? SO I am still unable to compress the data if there is a blank line?
