I used a Excel file as mailmerge's data source.But the data,such as 2.4, in excel, changed to a long format,such as 2.39999999, in word document. I don't want these changes.Some suggestions? Thanks

I am using word mail merge with excel data. At the moment whenever I open the word document, I am forced to select the data source and reset the filter,sorting etc. My source data is always in 'USB Data stick' it might change from document to documnet.
