When I try to mail merge using Avery Lables 8162 the "next" command is not horizontial on the labels, but it is vertical. Any ideas why? I'm using Word 2002.

Is there a way to assign a specific color to a table cell, depending on the value of the merge field? Say, my UserType field can be of five possible values and I want to color code the table cell that contains this field. Appreciate any help.

When i open word it says Microsoft Word has encountered a problem and needs to close. It then says open in safe mode. I don't like safe mode so how do I fix this problem???

Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I’m trying to set out about 70 standard letters for my team at work, the information being merged out from a CSV files created by our data processing programme. As part of this I need to additionally put in some AutoTestLists.

I am trying to mail merge a docment using a web page as a data source. I want formatting such as bold and italic text in the web page to appear in my final merged document. How do I instruct Word to retain formatting from the data file when performing a merge?

Is there a way to create a mail merge in Word (or in Outlook) using an Outlook distribution list? I've tried many different methods with no success, yet I can't imagine that Outlook/Word wouldn't have this functionality. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am using the {SECTIONPAGES} filed in a merge document with Word 2003. If I merge the document straight to the printer everyhting is fine. However, if I merge to a new document then the numbering appears out of sequence.
