I'm trying to find a solution to a problem a colleague of mine is having. He has a database which uses VB to generate an Excel spreadsheet and save it onto a network drive, then to mail merge this into an existing Word Document stored elsewhere on the same network.

I have an Excel document with customer names, addresses, ... in it I select this Excel document as datasource in Word. When I have to choose the table, I get 2 possibilities: Sheet1$ and Sheet1$default__VA_EXPCUSTOMER

I want to create a mail merge document that includes signitures saved as .jpegs of the person sending the letter. Is this possible? How do you assign these to the mail merge word document? And how do you get this to correspond to the names in the excel data source file?

I have a friend who says she can type in my addresses for a mail merge. She has Microsoft Word. Once she creates this, can she save it on a disc or CD and can I then insert the disc or CD in my computer and print the labels?

I am programmatically(C#, using the PIA) changing the datasource for a word document, wich contains some merge fields. In order to avoid the prompt wich signals that certain fields have no correspondent in the new datasource, I would like to obtain the merge field

Why did Microsoft have to make the mailmerge so complicated. It automatically generates an Access database, which while useful in one sense means that you have to understand queries in Access to manipulate the output. Also the address block is useless outside of the USA. In ...
