I need to know how to suppress a line if the merge field value is zero

I'm trying to find a solution to a problem a colleague of mine is
having. He has a database which uses VB to generate an Excel
spreadsheet and save it onto a network drive, then to mail merge this
into an existing Word Document stored elsewhere on the same network.

Does anyone know the maximum number fo merge fields allowed in a merge
template for Word 2003?

I have an Excel document with customer names, addresses, ... in it
I select this Excel document as datasource in Word.
When I have to choose the table, I get 2 possibilities:
Sheet1$ and Sheet1$default__VA_EXPCUSTOMER

I want to create a mail merge document that includes signitures saved as
.jpegs of the person sending the letter. Is this possible? How do you assign
these to the mail merge word document? And how do you get this to correspond
to the names in the excel data source file?

I have a friend who says she can type in my addresses for a mail merge. She
has Microsoft Word. Once she creates this, can she save it on a disc or CD
and can I then insert the disc or CD in my computer and print the labels?

I'm trying to mailmerge from Excel 2003 into Word 2003.
Each client could have 1 or more records.
I want one letter for each client, displaying each of the items and an
amount in a tabular format eg.

I am trying to create a report.  Sometimes the first field will not contain
data.  If this happens I would like it to go to the next record and pick up
there. I am using Microsoft Word Teacher/student verstion

I am programmatically(C#, using the PIA) changing the datasource for a word
document, wich contains some merge fields.
In order to avoid the prompt wich signals that certain fields have no
correspondent in the new datasource, I would like to obtain the merge field

My Excel database has a list of personnel and the number of hours of FMLA
used each month.  I want to create a monthly report that lists each name and
the number of hours used by that person for the current month or quarter.

Why did Microsoft have to make the mailmerge so complicated.  It
automatically generates an Access database, which while useful in one sense
means that you have to understand queries in Access to manipulate the output.

Using Word Mail Merge for e-mails with data file from Excel.  e-mail
addresses are coming through into merge with "#" in place of "."   Obviously,
they won't work.
Help!
