Used an excel file to create labels last month. then modified the file, adding a column of info. Now when I select that file as my source, it appears in Word mail merge as if the new column doesn't exist.

MS Word will happily let me mail merge to create a single large file. But I want a bunch of little files! How might I run a mail merge or macro that would create a seperate text file (.txt) for each letter?

I have made a merge template with a filename in the footer (using INSERT, FIELD, and file name with full path). After the merge is complete, the footer is not updating -not when I print it or save it or preview it or close then open it! Is there some other command
