Suddenly happened - if I open the main pleading, I can see the ruled and numbered setup of pleading. But they disappear after the merge. The only way I have found to get them back is to go to View/Header Footer, then they appear back again.

I'm using Microsoft office 2003. In Excel, I have a column of dates which are formatted as UK ones (e.g. 2nd July: 02/07/2007) but when this column is mail-merged into Word it's coming out with the month first (e.g. 07/02/2007).

Most of the zips are just 5-dig, a handful are 5-4 with one Canadian. The 5-4 & Canadian display as 0 in the merge. Data resides in .xls file, column is called "PostalCode", the code in word is simply { MERGEFIELD PostalCode }. I've tried formatting it the column as
