Mail Merge connection is lost26 Jul 2007 10:44 GMT3
I am using Word 2002 and have created a mail merged word document.
If the mail merge is not restricted (all records in the data source are
connected with the word document) then the main merge document keeps its
connection with the data source (an excel 2002 spreadsheet) every ...
Printing envelopes or mailing labels26 Jul 2007 06:59 GMT6
I'm using Word 2003 SP2. Recently, every time I print an envelope or try a
mail merge (from Access or Word) I am getting a line of characters that don't
make any sense.
It starts above the address, in the middle of the envelope and reads:
Can I keep my records from spanning pages?26 Jul 2007 00:42 GMT1
Hi, all.  I have a fairly typical mail-merge job to do - I'm going to
create a paper directory of our church members, taking the data from an
ODBC database (MySQL).  So it will look something like:
<lastname>, <firstname>
Merge-to doesn't allow email any longer25 Jul 2007 21:58 GMT18
This worked before, but today when I tried to send an e-mail to a bunch of
clients, the merge-to didn't have an option for e-mail.  Just "Printer" and
"New Document".
Any clues?
Pattern your Help after MVP's 'tutorials'!!!! PLEASE!!25 Jul 2007 20:26 GMT4
I struggled with Word's Help to learn 2003's version of Mail Merges for
literal hours at work.  I cannot download the players required to do your
complete practices etc, since it's a work computer, and was getting nowhere.
I found the discussion threads which was responded to by ...

Unwanted duplicated addresses populating in document - Labels25 Jul 2007 13:50 GMT4
New to 2003 Mail Merge.
When the merge takes place, the addresses are duplicated 2, maybe 3 times in
groups of 5 or 6 with single addresses between.  For Example: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
6, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 12, 13, 14, 15,

My search of the archives has not given me the answer to this.
I am mail-merging Excel data into a Word 'directory' document (using the
2003 versions), which consists of text and a table.  I want the table to
expand based upon how many records are related to a name in a field of ...
Missing Headers and Footers24 Jul 2007 20:22 GMT1
How do I force MS word 2003 to display the Headers and Footers of documents
that contain Headers and Footers every time the document is opened without
having to Click View then Headers and Footers?
Mergefield Formatting - Trim function? Word 200024 Jul 2007 09:44 GMT3
Is there a way of 'trimming' a field in a merge? I have been supplied a data
file and one of the fields has trailing spaces which are being read as
character spaces. I suspect it is just a case of 'ask the person supplying
the data to correct it' however I just thought I would ...
Printing Addresses on Postcards24 Jul 2007 07:35 GMT2
How can I print addresses directly on individual postcards?  They are not
sheets of Avery type postcards, but individual postcards.  The size is 4x6".
Trouble keeping records straight for a mail merge -data from Acces23 Jul 2007 20:33 GMT3
I am using Word and Access 2003.  I set up a system towards the end of 2005
so it's been working flawlessly for me since then up until about a week ago.
I created a mail merge to send out placement letters.  The document contains
3 pages (candidate ltr, client ltr and an invoice ...

Word 2003 - setting default Merge options23 Jul 2007 11:27 GMT3
When I click on the "Merge to New Document" button on the mail merge toolbar,
I get a dialog box asking whether I want to merge "All", "Current record",
etc. Is there anyway to set it up so that it automatically merges "All"
without prompting me?
why are some queries missing when I look for a data source?22 Jul 2007 20:34 GMT1
I exported a Access 2000 database into Access 2007. One of my queries in the
database uses a module. I made the folder containing the database a trusted
source. When I try to do a mailmerge in Word 2007 using this database and
select my data source, I don't see my query. I see ...
