First time mailmerge user here.  Have managed to go through and create
a mailmerge whrough the wizard in Word 2007. Am trying to create some
labels.  It all seems fine and imports the data from an excel
spreadsheet and looks fine in the document.

Here is the problem.  I have a merge field set up like this:
{IF {MERGEFIELD PRICE}< “$15,000.00” "too cheap" "sell to customer"}
The idea is that if my "Price" field is less than $15,000, I want it to show
"too cheap".  Otherwise, I'd like the field to show "sell to customer".

I try to create a mailmerge file. So I create a connection to the data
source (xls or txt). I can save the file and everything seens to be OK.
So far so good. But if I reopen the merge file, the connection is lost.
This only happens if the data source is located in a network ...

I have an Excel spreadsheet with three columns of dates.  All three columns
are formatted in Excel exactly the same way (10-Feb-2008)
The first and third column are showing up in the Word merge document AND in
the Mail Merge Recipients window as a serial date.

We are a very economical company. We are designing postcards and want to
print two to a page. How do I get MailMerge in Word 2007 to put two different
addresses on the same page? So far, I can only get a duplicate of the same
address (not very economical)...

So i see, several times, that a macro can be created to cause your labels to
merge in columns instead of rows.
I have been using Word 2003 and Excel 2003 (with the Avery 5161 Labels) in
the Mail Merge Wizard to make labels for file folders, and am wondering if

I have a field that is inserted on my Word document, but drops when I merge
with an Excel source document.  I have reattached my source document but it

I have a mailmerge field that is defined in the database as text, but I want
to use  numeric formatting (the field will always contain a number string).  
How do I convert the data type in the mailmerge field so that the numeric
formatting will apply?

I have a mail merge set up to produce two reports.
Report 1 contains a table along the lines of:

I am using data from a MS Access query for mail merge.
The merged letter will include multiple "enclosures" from the query.
I need to merge all "enclosures" from the query onto the document.

I have a data base file created in Word 2003 using Mail Merge I think its
actually a .doc file. I want to edit some of the details and now have Office
2007. Can't find the database toolbar(it doesn't exist) or the old Data Form
button that allowed me to do this previously.
