I have a data source that is 14,000 records. Whenever I try to merge it with my main document, Word is crashing. Is it reasonable to be able to merge this many records in Word 2003? Or do we have to split the data source into parts?

I have been struggling with this. I am using Word 2003 and am printing 3 postcards on 12 x 18 paper. I would like to do a mail merge to print the addresses on all 3 cards at once. It either puts the same address in all 3 spots or it won't understand that

I'm trying to merge a list of names by category. Is there a way to do this directly into a one column list? If not, can I merge them into two columns and avoid repeating the multiple categories? i.e.
