I have a user who is having problems with Word in Normal
view.  It looks like the White space is turned on..
however I do not get the little white space icon...plus I
thought that white space only pertained to print view.

For about 6 weeks now, have been unable to open a
recognizable version of Word for Office 2000.  We've had

When I open a document that has already been saved as a
word document my system will aslo open a document 1. Does
anyone know how to change this setting so that when I open
a document that it will not open first a document 1 file?

When I try to paste into columns the Edit > Paste Columns
function does not show up in the pull-down menu.
Any suggestions how I can get the Paste Columns to work?

Previous versions of word allowed an exclude dictionary to
be created.  I can find nothing similar in Word 2000.  
Basically, there are certain words I want flagged or
removed from the dictionary.  Any ideas?
