I use ctlr + x, c, and v for editing purposes. Now when I attempt to cut, copy, or paste with the ctrl key, the Find and Replace tool pops up. I checked my settings in Tools > Customize > Keyboard and they are correct. Any ideas why

every time I make a formatting change to a word or phrase in my documents the entire document changes to that formatting. The only way I can undo it is to go to "edit, undo automatic style updating" (or press Ctrl-Z).

When I try to use the shade command in the tool bar, it is there, but thre are no colors, like it is not active. Excel works fine, just not in word? Anyone know the fix, or heard of this before???

I get distracted by the fat flashing curor in Word. Does anyone know how to stop it flashing? Maybe change it into a different symbol that's recognisable (so that you know where you are in the document) but that doesn't flash?
