I recently loaded Office for Mac version X and cannot fing the thesaurus
anywhere. The Help function is no help as it instucts me to "click on
thesaurus" when there IS NO such option on the menu anymore.
Anyone know where the thesaures went in the Mac X Word? Thanks so

Everytime I type a pound sign (Shift + 3) I get a # and I
get an @ symbol when I type (Shift + 2) instead of a ".
I have no idea why this suddenly changed, and obviously
need to know how to change it back - can any one help??!!

I recently reloaded office xp and lost my 'open recent'
option from the file menu.  How do I get it back?

I was adding captions to figures in a document.  The
problem that I am having is that I do not want borders
around the captions, but I do not know how to make a
borderless check box the default option.  Can anyone help?

I am running word on a School, the work stations are set
up, to not show surounding net-work environment, and hide
several drives, and the Desktop.
Word however ignores this setting, and shows everything,

I am trying to turn off autocorrect in Word 2003 so that
it does not automatically capitalize.  This is for a
school and the kids need to be able to do it themselves.  
I know how to do it from Word, and Microsoft 822005

You know the dialogue box you get when you open a file has
a list of five folders on the left: History, My Documents,
Desktop, Favorites and My Network Places.
How do you add/subtract folders to that listing?

I am using WordXP.  I want to highlight a single word to
format it.  When I do the formating it applies it to the
whole document.  Please is there a way to turn that off?

Is it possible to put a password on a Office 98 Word
file/folder so not everybody in an office setting can

Ok, this is really stupid, I know, but somehow my viewing
option (print layout) has been changed.  The vertical and
horizontal rulers show up like they should.  The
horizontal ruler shows blue space where the margin

I would like to customize my startup page for word.  
Can't find the normal.dot page to change.  Making a
template doesn't do the job.
I would really like a footer with the file name and date.
