I'm am completely baffled by the tab stops in word.  On
most of the documents I create for work, tabs only work on
the line 'tick' marks across the ruler.  If I want to move
the tab, it jumps to the next line (tick) in the ruler.  If

Is it possible to use a calculated field in a locked form?
I'm not having much success. All I want to do is add 3 or 4
fields  
but when I lock the form the calculation does not work.

The maximize and minimize buttons have disappeared from my
control menu.  How do I get them back?

Is there a way to get a keyboard or toolbar shortcut to

Since upgrading from Office XP to Office 2003, I have
noted a difference in the behavior in the comment
balloons when I "Insert Comment".  Comment balloons
inserted into documents in Word (Office XP) were attached

I've made the switch from Wordperfect to Word.  I was able
to set WP so that it would remember which documents I had
had open when I last exited the program, so that when I
reopened WP it would automatically reproduce the work

the option to Right align page numbers is greyed out in

My system has just been upgraded from NT4 to Windows XP

My autotext (Normal.dot) from my old system was saved
(years of short cuts, standards, addresses etc etc), but

I use Office 97 on Win XP Home.
When I launch a Word file, I get a message:
"C:\...\...\File.doc is being used by Joe Bloggs.  Do you
want to make a copy?"

Does anyone know how to turn off shortcut keys in Word?
It is an annoying feature that I'd like to diable if I
hit an embedded shortcut combination by accident.

When trying to "save as" in Word 2002, I can't expand the
window which contains the complete drive names.  Is there
a patch for this?

I have Word 2000.  When I start up Word, a new document
appears, but NO MENU BAR OR TOOL BAR appear.  
Shortcuts on the keyboard are working.  Everything else
is on the screen apart from the Menu and Tool bars.  

When i open word 2000 there are no bars not even the  MENU
BAR so no File ,View, Tools ex... I have tried every
button on my keyboard and still no success. I need
assistance.
