I am a happy user of Word 2000 in spite of small
irritants.  A few days back however a funny thing has
started happening.  Whenever I select some text and
press 'delete' to delete it, it asks 'Delete block N/Y'.

I am using Windows XP Pro with word 2000 and Word 2003 on

There are several toolbar buttons which I have added to
my toolbar, some of which are built-in commands and some
of which run macros.  No longer using some of these
buttons, I have tried to remove them by choosing

I have two problems:  1.  When I open Word 2000, my
menubar and toolbar are missing.  I have tried
reinstalling Microsoft Office 2000, but that doesn't fix
the problemt.  Is there a preference somewhere that hides

My home key is not working.  I have to use it with left
key to get the cursor to the beginning of the line. ( I
have to push Home, then push Left to move the cursor).  I
am using Word 2000 on Windows 2000.  What's wrong?  Help

When starting Word 2000, the default document does not
appear as 'Document 1'.  Instead, it is named 'Document
4'.  How do I change the default document number to start
as 'Document 1'?

I accidentally selected "File | Send To | Mail Recipient"
without using "(as attachment)", and even though I
canceled that action, the Email address toolbar is now a
part of the document.  How do I get rid of it?

WinXP and Word 2003 (Office 2003). In Word, file menu, the
"Quit" option has disappeared ! Tried uninstalling Word.
Then reinstalling. No change, still no "quit" option !
Any ideas?

All old documents I pull up from my hard drive and any new
document I start stacks up all letters from a line on top
of one another.  How do I change this?  I have been unable
to find a solution.

I have managed to put some AutoText entries into the View Menu, but I can't
find a way of deleting them.  I'm using Word 2000.  Does anyone have any

I have a user of Word 2000 that has lost all their menus
and toolbars in word 2000.  Without any toolbars or menus
I can not get into the settings or option windows to
rectify this.  All other Office programs have their

we have tried everything.  one of our staff members lost
all his word toolbars.  we have tried reloading word and
they are still m.i.a.  we went under preferences and made
sure all the tool bars were checked, and still nothing.
