Customised toolbars and macros have gone23 Mar 2006 18:42 GMT4
Customised toolbars and macros I created have gone. Have checked with IT dept
and they've not 'done' anything. How can I get them back? If I can't and have
to recreate them, how can I stop this happening again?

do what Charles Kenyon suggests with myglobal.dot - network won't let me or
I'm doing it wrong! Have recreated toolbars and macros but toolbars keep

Will normal.dot in Word 2002 Transfer Over to Word 2003?23 Mar 2006 17:44 GMT3
I've put a lot of work into creating toolbars and keyboard commands in Word
2002. All that is stored as part of the normal.dot file. Now I'm thinking of
getting Word 2003. Will my normal.dot file, with all it's toolbar

Do you want to save ...18 Mar 2006 06:20 GMT2
Every time I make no other "change" than either printing a file or
counting the words of a file, and I close the file, I get the message
"Do you want to save the changes you made to ..." and have to click
(usually) "No" or "Yes".
Track Changes18 Mar 2006 01:59 GMT1
I'm running Word 2003 and have had a document reviewed by someone who uses
the track changes option.  I am unable to PDF my file, and believe that it
may be due to the fact that I cannot turn track changes off.
I've followed the advice in the Word Help section, which simply says ...

Hiding Toolbar Options14 Mar 2006 17:50 GMT10
Help!  I need to be able to "hide" (suppress) the chevrons/arrows at the end
of each and every toolbar in Office XP -- particularly in Word 2003.  The
entire toolbar is visible, so hiding the arrows wouldn't affect being able to
use any of the icons, but Word insists on adding ...

How can  you read a .prn file?11 Mar 2006 10:42 GMT7
I want to print to a file rather than the printer and then
open the file in Word. I choose the "print ro file" option
and a file is generated with the .prn extension.  But when
I open the file in Word, all I see is unreadable info.
Short menus not working08 Mar 2006 18:18 GMT4
One of our users gets the full menus on the drop-down menus instead of
the short menu with the full menu after a short delay.
She has gone into Tools / Customize and checked the option to Show
full menus after a short delay, but she always gets the full menu.

can be used to select highlighted text (it's a great tool for selecting and
Eliminating blank lines in export07 Mar 2006 22:30 GMT3
Whenever I try to export contents to a word document through an
application, I see blank lines  between headings when a heading is
empty. If the heading is empty I do not want it to be displayed. Is
there anyway this could be achieved in a word document. For e.g:
