SIMILAR PROBLEM...
We have fixed it so extra toolbars don't show up in new documents, but
extisting documents still open the toolbars.  Too many users to customize
each one... any global fix for existing docs?

I would appreciate some help with a problem with 'smart" settings in my Word

that by selecting the Macro item from the Customize menu and dragging
it to the Insert menu. Now I want to change the text of that menu item,

Hi guys, i'm running word 2000 (office 2000 professional) and for some reason
i dont have any toolbars/menus anymore. It is not running in fullscreen and
everything is in the viewable range of the monitor.

I had WinNT with WORD2002, and had a printer installed twice with different
device options, once with duplex printing and once without duplex printing
(ie with single sided printing). In my WORD tool bar I had two macros one

I have a user who is trying to cross-reference table and figure captions that
exist in a template I created.  The user created a bunch of tables in the
main portion of the document and in the appendix portion of the document.

I add the built-in menu "work" to the Standard toolbar. Some computers will
remember the change. But when I close Word 2003 on my computer and reopen,
all changes are gone. How can I retain menu and toolbar changes on my
