Is there any way I can disable the splash screen that is shown when
Word loads. I know about the /q option on a shortcut, but that doesn't help
when clicking on a .doc file. I would hope there is some registry setting
that I could use.

   In Word '07 I need a specific set of fonts; basically; my boss wants all
stuff-Times New Roman-12 pt. double spaced.
How do I set up those boxes? umm, the Style boxes??? The first one is
Calibri-11 pt.

I have created my Styles as a Styles toolbar available in normal.dot.
However, even though the toolbar is shown (and the buttons) the styles are
not applying to the selected text in a new document.

I was assembling a new PC with a new mother board ATI Radeon and maxtor HDD
of 100G. Afte assembling the PC, I loaded the windows XP home edition and
everything was fine. I partitioned by Hard disk, which is also new into three
drives with NTFS.

I ran across an issue where my default printer was listed as normal under
File/Print in Word 2003 but on the printer icon in the toolbar there are no
printers listed, it just comes up blank.  Anyone run across this before?  Any
solutions or guesses??

I am a teacher.  One of my students lost Format on the Menu Bar.  Any idea

Question: I use the Envelopes and Labels command to print envelopes.  Is
there any way to tell Word to pint multiple copies of an envelope with the

I am concerned about the small box on top of the font menu, where the fonts
more frequently used (or more exactly, any font that has been used only once)
are listed.

I created a simple macro but it will not run. I get the message saying it
can either not find it or my security settings will not allow it. My security
is at medium.
When I press ALT + F8, it shows the macro in the Macro dialog box. However,

Hi, If I want to get rid of the Acrobat "PDFMaker" from the toolbar and
lock it, How can I do it? It will save me some working space because I
don't do a convert to pdf file that often. Besides I can do it on the
menu bar.

I am learning about macros and have created a couple and placed them in my
toolbar. When I try to run them, however, I get a message saying "The macro
cannot be found or has been disabled because of your Macro Security Settings"

The Systran Toolbar keeps vanishing in Word 2003. It's there in all other
Office appications including reading mail in Inbox in Outlook 2003 but not
when I compose new mail.
