I inserted a line within my footer (towards the top of the footer) and would like to put a page number below the line. However, Word won't let me place the cursor beneath the line, just above it. What should I do?

I am using MSWord 2000. I am using styles for the heading numbers above paragraphs, 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, etc. Is there a way to have 1.1 underlined?

When I use line numbering I get a captital 'A' in front of the line number. When I send the document to another on the same server the 'A' is gone. How do I get rid of these 'A's?
