Maybe I'm from the old school, but we were taught when numbering a list, if there are 10 or more items, the #10 should be moved to the left one space (or all the others moved to the right one space) so all the periods line up.

I have a document with chapters (1 to 6) and appendices (1 to 8). Each can have tables and/or figures. In the chapters I include the chapter number in the captions of the figures and tables, but in the appendices these captions include either eg. chapter number 7 for Appendix 1

In a master document with 15 subdocuments, (chapters and appendices) the first three pages are unnumbered, 4-11 are numbered i-viii and the rest are numbered 1, 2, 3, ... etc. I want to print only the unnumbered pages plus those numbered i-viii, 2 pages per sheet.
